Steam Deck compatible games - Valve introduces compatibility recognition tool

You can check which games from your library may or may not have problems launching on Steam Deck.

Good news for people who're expecting their pre-ordered Steam Decks and can't wait to test them out in action. Valve has introduced a new feature that many of you may find interesting.

According to the latest Steam announcement, you're now able to check which games from your library are compatible with Steam Deck. All you have to do is follow this link, which can also be found in the aforementioned article, log in to your account, and the new feature will do all of the work for you.

After completing these actions, games from your library will be presented in four categories:

  • Steam Deck verified games, which should not have any compatibility issues,
  • Steam Deck playable games, which will most certainly run on the device, but may have problems with configuration,
  • unsupported Steam Deck, which will not work
  • untested games, which will be allocated shortly after their status is verified.

As you can see, this brand-new tool still needs some time before it can process the huge amount of titles that are present on Valve's platform. However, it's still peculiar to see whether your library is Deck friendly. Maybe reserving a device for yourself might pay off in the long run?

GG.deals is keeping up with the trends too! Our team is in the process of adding information about Deck compatibility to each game card. Soon you'll also be able to check Steam Deck compatible games on GG.deals. Like any new feature, it needs some time for proper implementation, but it's coming soon. We'll let you know as soon as the Steam Deck library check becomes active, so stay tuned.

Do you see yourself checking this sort of information? If yes, is it out of pure curiosity or you're getting Steam Deck?
