Games made by Annapurna are genuinely fun in terms of gameplay but also tend to teach their players important lessons. The usual tone of video games Annapurna likes to promote is either melancholic or symbolic, always with something behind the surface. They include emotional masterpieces such as What Remains of Edith Finch or Florence, but it’s not always the case that these titles are bitter-sweet. 

However, Sayonara Wild Hearts and Twelve Minutes provide different atmospheres and experiences. Both games are exhilarating in their own way, making you shiver from fear or from excitement — great introductory adventures for those willing to explore Annapurna’s library. 

We don't often see publishing companies stick to indie games in the gaming industry. It takes a lot of courage and faith in independent developers to give them a chance to show the world their work. In the case of the Annapurna Interactive games catalog, the publisher made practically no mistakes. Starting from titles like the experimental Flower and seeing where it is now, Annapurna took the risk and, thankfully, it was really worth it.

Now that we know a bit about what type of PC titles the publisher gives a chance, the time has come for a few recommendations. Aside from the games mentioned above, you should familiarise yourself with the famous Journey. 

It’s one of these stories that sound a bit ridiculous, but they just work. You travel through a vast desert. No words and dialogues throughout the whole play-through. It’s just you and your journey. Well, you can also be accompanied by another player, although you'll still be deprived of verbal communication. Nonetheless, the presence alone is enough to feel a little bit better in the middle of nothingness. 

The list of Annapurna games wouldn’t be complete without The Artful Escape. It’s a magical (and musical!) delight for music lovers. Francis Vendetti has a lot to prove, mostly to himself. He wants to become a full-fledged musician, and his uncle is well-known. In this intriguing platformer, you jump inside locations based on existing music pieces. You may recognize some of them along the way!
